Sistemic Marseille: Inetum committed to regional inclusion

MARSEILLE FORUM – MUCEM, 22nd of May 2024

Press Release

Fecha de publicación :

Under the patronage of French President Emmanuel MACRON, and in the presence of Aude de THUIN (founder of the SISTEMIC movement), and Cédric VILLANI (scientific advisor), INETUM will take part in the first edition of the SISTEMIC forum at Mucem in Marseille. The forum, which will bring together over 600 people (young people, teachers, companies, etc.), will call for a national mobilization to promote the inclusion of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). INETUM is a long-standing partner of SISTEMIC, a movement launched in 2022.

“We are very proud to support this initiative. Indeed, we are committed to promoting the employment of women in the professions of the future. The Tech sector, from which we come, must be able to benefit from a genuine gender balance. By ensuring inclusion, companies and institutions can further enhance their performance. What's more, with some 50 locations in France, we wanted to support SISTEMIC's initiative to promote employment in France's second largest city.” Eve ROYER, Human Resources Director at Inetum, France.

Today, women are still largely under-represented in high-skilled scientific fields. SISTEMIC is a unique movement whose ambition is to engage women in the fourth industrial revolution. It's a type of expert-group that brings together role models, experts and schools whose ambition is to get girls and women back into STEM.

“Every year, 38,000 new engineers graduate when 60,000 are needed. We can't make a success of the ecological and digital transitions without engineers. Impossible to reindustrialize France without them.  Sistemic's goal is to convince young girls to choose science, so that they can play their part in the fields of the future, flourish in them and strengthen their financial independence. Why Marseille? Firstly, because it's the second largest city in France, and secondly, because we want to gradually extend our reach to all regions.”  Aude de THUIN, founder of SISTEMIC.
