Inetum accelerates the digital transformation of the Principality of Asturias' public sector

The technology consulting firm of digital services and solutions has a staff of more than 300 people in the autonomous community, who develop projects related to health, mobility or logistics of the regional government.

The president of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón, has visited this morning the Inetum engineering center of Blimea space, located in San Martín del Rey Aurelio, where he has been able to see first hand the work and projects carried out by Inetum professionals in the region, closely linked to the public sector, such as the integral maintenance of the financial and logistic economic system of the Principality of Asturias, the electronic Single Social History (HSUe) or the digital payment system for public transport. He was also accompanied by the Minister of Science, Business, Training and Employment, Borja Sánchez

Berta Bernardo, director of Espacio Blimea, thanked the president for his visit, "which gives visibility to this region where technology and innovation are making headway" and highlighted the important task that Asturian professionals carry out for the whole company: "from this center we are at the heart of projects that the company develops not only in Spain but throughout Europe".

During the visit, Josep Aracil, Group VP and Director of Government and Public Services; Juan Carlos Fernández, Director of the Northwest Territory; Javier Serrano, Director of the Public Sector in Asturias; and Iván Neila, Director of Document Solutions in Asturias, showed the initiatives that the company is developing in the region, as well as reaffirming its commitment to Asturias, a region with great potential in the field of technology and innovation.

For his part, the president of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón, has been especially interested in Inetum's link with local talent and the specialization of its professionals, also in the GenAI topics developed by the consultancy firm and in the large projects that are executed from Inetum Blimea both nationally and internationally.

Inetum's presence in this autonomous community is not only focused on the development of leading projects for the Government of the Principality, but also on the generation of qualified employment and the promotion of local talent. In this way, it places Asturias as a fundamental part of its growth strategy, committing itself to contribute to the economic and social progress of the region through its innovative solutions and services.
