BioCard is a MoC (Match on Card) technology that integrates biometric fingerprint recognition algorithms in Smart Cards' chips.
In the card issuance process, the citizen's fingerprints are stored within the inviolable environment of the Smart Card. When the Smart Card is used for operations that require a special security level, it is the card itself that verifies the identity of the person, using as reference the stored biometric information on the owner.
