Mission

We are looking for an experienced and competent Chief Accountant who will take responsibility for maintaining accounting records and overseeing the company’s accounting and tax policy. The person in this role will support the management board in making financial decisions and ensure compliance with applicable legal regulations. Additionally, they will manage the accounting team, ensuring its development and work efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping accounting records in accordance with the Accounting Act and tax regulations.
  • Preparing financial statements in compliance with National and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Resolving complex accounting and tax issues and implementing optimal solutions.
  • Monitoring changes in tax and accounting regulations and ensuring their implementation.
  • Supervising the accuracy and timeliness of tax settlements (CIT, VAT).
  • Cooperating with tax authorities and external auditors.
  • Analyzing and verifying the accuracy of financial documentation prepared by the accounting team.
  • Optimizing accounting and tax processes within the company.
  • Preparing financial reports for the management board and supporting strategic business decisions.
  • Supervising and developing the accounting team, including task delegation, performance monitoring, and providing substantive support.
  • Cooperating with the Capital Group in financial reporting, process compliance, and implementation of common standards.
  • Participating in the preparation of group reports and consolidation packages in accordance with Group guidelines.
  • Close cooperation with the controlling department and other financial teams within the organization.

Profile

  • At least 4 years of experience as an Independent Accountant / Chief Accountant.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax regulations (CIT, VAT) and the Accounting Act.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and National Accounting Standards (NAS).
  • Ability to independently solve accounting and tax-related issues.
  • Experience in managing an accounting team.
  • Very good knowledge of financial-accounting programs and MS Excel.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to synthesize financial data.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English, enabling smooth communication.
  • Experience working in an international or corporate environment will be an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) will be a plus.
  • Ability to work within complex organizational structures and collaborate with various stakeholders (local and international).
