Mission
- This role creates trust by consulting business for IT services and solutions in own region for own area functions and own business processes.
- Maintain and improve business satisfaction and confidence in IT through effective, efficient and secure IT service delivery. Minimize the impact of service outages to avoid costs and penalties
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for building IT services
- Understanding the client's business needs
- Providing advice on technology best practices.
- Planning a timeline for completion of projects.
- Business partnering for Business Process Owners/Managers
- Contribution to incident management and problem management
Additional Responsibilities
- Process management and governance for IT Service Operation
- Management of incidents, problems, access, events and request fulfillment
- Account for and streamline of operational services across business processes by driving continuous improvement (integration)
- Monitor external partners on operational level
- Responsible for crisis coping Service Level Fulfillment (operate by design)
- Contribute to establish a high-performance IT organization
Profile
- Languages: Advanced level of English. Skills in an additional major language are welcome.
- University degree in IT or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Effective internal and external communication within complex area / project
- Medium-sized projects with medium complexity and resource requirements
- Enables IT and contributes to digital business innovations
Functional knowledge
- Professional in Network Systems (CISCO, DELL, AVAYA, PRTG, APC
- Wireless Network, Local Network, Internet connectivity, Proxy (Z-Scaler), WAN connectivity (MPLS, Site-2-Site), Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Firepower)
- End-user VPN (Palo Alto, CISCO), Switches, Routers, Proxy, RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, Riverbed, SD WAN, WAN/LAN Security, Python
- Intermediate in Office productivity Software (MS Office / O365 Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook); Asset & License Management Metrics (Microsoft, SAP, HFM, PDM Systems)
Leadership
- Proactive leadership role within the team / Scope of problem solution
- Input on IT architecture (often) and strategy (seldom)
- Internal thought leader for colleagues with less experience
- Trains/mentors senior professionals, professionals & project managers
- Enables changes in IT and contributes to change in business
Business process knowledge – nice to have
- Intermediate in financial processes (Financials, IFRS/US-GAAP, local GAAP, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Customs, Legal, Analytics, Corporate governance)
- Logistics processes (handling unit, operational logistics, customs, complaint management logistics, in-/outbound logistics, warehouse logistics, packaging/delivery)
- Production processes (daily scheduling of production, material resource planning (MRP), machine/prod. Maintenance)
- Sourcing processes (NPM /direct material, SRM processes, Supplier RFQ, Supplier Management, Order fulfillment)
- Basic Automotive Processes (JIT/JIS, Supply Chain, Delivery Order, Advanced Shipping, Invoicing)
