Inetum & ISEP: Chaire Data
“For better cooperation between Data professions” - first assessment and perspectives of the ISEP and Inetum Chair
Press release
Release date :
Inetum, a European leader in digital services and solutions, and IESEP (Institut Supérieur d'Electronique de Paris), a leading private engineering school in the digital sector, have been jointly committed to digital professions since the creation of a joint teaching and research programme a year ago. The Chair “For better cooperation between Data professions” reflects a common desire to make digital technology a lever for positive impact and performance.
Think, design and act for a digital world for all
Designed to provide concrete solutions, the Chair “For better cooperation between Data professions” encompasses complementary activities such as teaching, pedagogical reflection, and the promotion of joint actions. Research, co-innovation and entrepreneurship are the driving forces behind Inetum's business and are at the heart of the Chair's specific programme.
Since it was inaugurated in July 2021, the Chair, which is jointly led by ISEP and Inetum, has initiated many projects between students and major players in the Data world. During the academic year, students at the beginning and middle of their studies were able to attend presentations by Data experts from Inetum and discover the challenges of the sector thanks to an educational programme adapted to market realities and challenges.
Co-built teaching modules
Bruno Da Sola, Group VP and Head of Global Human Resources Inetum, and Frédéric Geoffroy, Head of Development of ISEP, are in charge of the Chair's governance. A steering committee oversees administrative tasks, the quality of the programme and scientific activities, and coordinates research.
Two groups of students have already received support from Inetum for their final-year projects. Concerted responses to calls for Cloud and Data projects from corporate accounts, the dissemination of research results and activities, and the incubation of entrepreneurship projects form part of the specific educational modules co-built with ISEP for this Chair.
In partnership with the French Tech Corporate Community, one of the groups also had the opportunity to work with corporate accounts on the topic of the sovereign cloud. Starting in February 2022, they developed a tool for comparing cloud solutions. Another group of students was tasked with creating the “Do you speak Data?” module. This remote course, accessible to all, familiarises learners with new technologies such as artificial intelligence.
A mutual commitment to quality education
A year ago, the partnership between the two entities was signed by Vincent Rouaix, Chairman and CEO of Inetum, and Dieudonné Abboud, General Manager of ISEP.
Says Vincent Rouaix, “At a time when digital technology is permeating all aspects of society in a world of perpetual change, Inetum wants to bring all its expertise and resources to bear on the reflections and work of tomorrow's engineers. The Chair ‘For better cooperation between Data professions’, co-founded with ISEP, offers important keys to understanding and reflection. This type of initiative is part of our mission – to understand, master and shape Positive digital flow and make digital technology useful for all.”
According to Dieudonné Abboud, General Manager of ISEP, “Faced with the growing diversity of business and professions in the digital sphere, ISEP's ambition is to offer its students, within the scope of this Chair, the best conditions to learn, work and think about inventing the uses of tomorrow. We therefore partnered with Inetum in a co-building logic that conveys our common desire to be builders of the future.”
About ISEP:
ISEP was founded in 1955 as part of the Catholic University of Paris, where Edouard Branly, then Professor of Physics, discovered radioconductors which would lead to the invention of wireless transmission (T.S.F.). Since its inception, ISEP’s educational project has been centred on high-level scientific and technical training with a strong emphasis on human training, which is essential for future managers in France and abroad. Today, ISEP has adapted to changes in society by providing generalist training in digital technologies and by developing its research and innovation centre around issues related to these technologies. Its ability to listen to the needs of the professional world and encourage the singularity of profiles makes ISEP one of the best engineering schools in France. www.isep.fr
