Dalion, the self-managed digital identity solution, winner in the 'Large Enterprise' category at Alastria's Blockchain Awards.

The initiative works on a digital identity management model that will allow citizens complete control of their data in a secure environment. Inetum in Spain coordinates this project together with other companies and academic entities: Banca March, Banco Santander, BBVA, CaixaBank, Generali, Línea Directa Aseguradora, MAPFRE, Repsol, Unicaja Banco and the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Dalion, the collaborative project that will promote the use of self-managed identity thanks to blockchain technology, has been one of the winners in the first edition of the Blockchain Awards, the awards promoted by Red Alastria, the first national regulated network based on blockchain. These awards aim to highlight the efforts of different industries to be more competitive in the market, generating a positive impact on the economy, society or the planet thanks to the use of blockchain.

Specifically, Dalion was the winner in the 'Large Enterprise' category for recovering something as important in the digital world as identity, according to Román Benito, director of Open Banking at Unicaja Banco, when he collected the award on behalf of this multi-sector alliance.

Thus, Dalion's objective is to help citizens manage their data through an application on their mobile device (identity wallet) and carry out any procedure or management in just a few minutes. In this way, it allows users to process their digital data through their mobile device, giving them access to see who shares their data, when and for what purpose. Users can use their data validated by other entities to rent a car, take out insurance, request a loan, register for electricity or gas service, or any other service they wish, all in just a few clicks, once they have been officially validated in the system by one of Dalion's participants.

The award thus promotes an open and multi-sector consortium where companies from different fields such as tourism, telecommunications, distribution or energy can be part of the change towards a new digital future and ensure the integrity, security and quality of any user's data in the coming years.
