Customer Success Stories La Poste Inetum

For many years, La Poste has relied on SAP ERP to manage the financial flows inherent to the multiple activities (postal, banking, etc.) of this group, which has continually diversified for half a century. With over five million operations processed every day, the internal application Symphonie proves to be an essential tool for the financial and operational stability of the company. It handles operations as varied as withdrawals and deposits at counters, as well as supplier and customer accounting. In the context of digital transformation and budget optimization, the maintenance and evolution of this tool require an innovative approach and close collaboration with expert partners.

"This is where Inetum comes in, offering services that meet La Poste's complex challenges while ensuring the reliability and efficiency of financial processes," said Jean-Louis Huynen, Account Manager for La Poste at Inetum. The strength of his team lies in "proximity, responsiveness, and a pragmatic approach adapted to the group's budget constraints." With around twenty consultants mobilized, Inetum ensures the performance of the ERP while preparing its evolution. The collaboration between the digital transformation company and the iconic postal group dates back to 2000, and more specifically to 2022 for this project. Inetum's expertise covers the maintenance, evolution, and optimization of this ERP.

Secured Data

La Poste manages complex financial flows through its numerous branches. In this context, any failure or slowdown of the system could cause major disruptions internally and in customer relations. "Inetum, a recognized player in information systems and digital transformation, has distinguished itself through its pragmatic approach, flexibility, and responsiveness," emphasized Véronique Blart Seeley from La Poste Group Finance Solutions Transformation Department. These qualities led La Poste to choose Inetum as a partner for the maintenance of its Symphonie system. Inetum has combined technical expertise with an understanding of our specifics, particularly in managing sensitive data.

Another key point in this collaboration is the proximity approach adopted by Inetum. The project team works closely with La Poste's internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and the ability to respond quickly to needs and issues encountered. This responsiveness is crucial as La Poste operates in a complex and constrained environment.

Cost Imperatives Respected

"Inetum has successfully provided innovative solutions for analyzing and testing Symphonie's version upgrade while respecting cost imperatives," continued our interviewee. One of Inetum's strategies involves using the Panaya tool, which accelerates SAP version upgrades by anticipating risks associated with changes. "This solution has ensured operational continuity while reducing costs and delays associated with these updates," added Jean-Louis Huynen.

Additionally, automating repetitive processes with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) has reduced costs related to resources and operations, while improving process reliability. La Poste thus benefits from productivity gains, essential assets in the current economic context.
