An outside perspective
APRR's IT department has 380 employees out of the group's 3,400 employees. Recently charged with leading the company's digital transformation, it entrusted Inetum's Innovation team with its first AI acculturation programme.
"The IT Department works for all the APRR businesses, with this particularity for us: the "in-house" development of certain solutions to meet specific business needs (tolls, traffic management, etc.). We benefit from a strong technical culture. On the other hand, we still have progress to make so that all of our teams understand the potential of the digital revolution. This is why we launched the internal 'NUMA' programme five years ago. I now want to develop a whole ecosystem around digital transformation and that's where Inetum comes in: particularly on the NUMA Academy part. Inetum is already a partner of APRR in its application activities. The discovery of their Innovation activities allowed us to solicit them to launch a program of "demystification" of AI: in December 2021, the first module of 2 hours attracted more than 200 APRR employees, all professions included. The satisfaction survey proved to be excellent. Our employees appreciated the quality of the contents and the pedagogy of the Inetum speakers. The acculturation programme continues at the rate of one session every six to eight weeks - the next one will be on blockchain. All the modules are available on our intranet. I think it is fundamental to align the business teams and the IT department on a common vocabulary and understanding of digital topics. In parallel, we are developing the Numa Lab and the Numa Factory, which will be launched in the second quarter of 2022. The aim is to rapidly industrialise small digital projects on low-code platforms in about ten days. Inetum brings us ideas, an outside view of the market, and feedback from other companies. Their interventions are not like lectures, but like sharing."
